Amazing walkway to soak in some history. The walk isn't too strenuous and great for those wanting to do something different in Sydney. Lots to see. Make sure you stop and read all the signs as you go. It's especially wonderful to visit on ANZAC Day when the local RSLs display their wreaths in tribute to those who lost their lives on the Kokoda Trail.
Nice little track that connects to Concord Hospital. I don't think it's been maintained in a while however it's still a nice peaceful walk. A real hidden gem.
This is a nice place to spend a few Hours .Bbqs walk ways and a kokoda memorial on site.. great for the kids and a look around. There is a small kids play area and sensory garden on site and public toilets which appeared clean. Located along the great Parramatta River .
Plenty of parking but most limited to two hours parking the gardens are very well maintained and beautiful.
Didn't get enough time here, but what I saw and brays bay was quite pleasant and a nice place to walk. Some mangroves if you don't like the smell choose your time of day appropriately.
Great place to find out more about the Kokoda track or just to have a beautiful walk. Pleasant even on the hottest days with mostly shaded paths. There is a great picnic area, plenty of seats along the way, a Cafe and toilets. Highly recommended as enjoyable and educational. Also a nice walk to get from Rhodes station to Concord Hospital. An oasis in the middle of suburbia. M8888m8m
The Kokoda Track Memorial Walkway is an invaluable asset to the community. Somewhere to stroll through, educate yourself about the sacrifices and achievements of the service men and women who were Australia's *last line of defence* from the Japanese invasion during WW2.
You can't help but be moved by the first hand accounts from the Tour Guides, most of whom are Kokoda veterans, still serving the community by educating over 80,000 visitors annually (I was astounded!).
I can highly recommend a visit and hope we always have this beautiful place, where we can go to pay our respects.
Hidden gem ,wait what. Beautiful place to walk and see water and tidy place to have sit ,picnic and feel the tree, water and has bathroom
This is an excellent tribute to the people who fought during World War II. It only is it a good place to come and reflect, it’s also a good spot to enjoy the environment. The undercover picnic area is top class - it has two public BBQs. The walkway is brilliant. There is plenty of shade here. A cafe. Public toilets. Kids playground. Off-street and on-street parking. #Concord
